Hank and Peggy have been serving great down home cooking for years in Shell Lake!! Breakfast til 2, and lunch! Good prices, super staff, and good food!! Fish fry on Friday nights is super good!!!!

Great small town atmosphere. Great food, portions and staff. Fast lunches, and take out if you like.

The service was pretty good and so was the food; the restaurant smelled a little musty and the place could use an overall deep cleaning. Just average.

Awesome place to grab food

The food here is good. The service is a little slow, but better than a number of restaurants I have eaten. I think this is due to the food preparation and kitchen equipment limitations. If I am ever in Shell Lake again, I will eat here again. The reason for only four stars is the lack of fountain drinks. I would actually give this place 4.5 stars. I would have liked a little larger glass of Diet Coke than 12oz. The rye toast here is almost worth the drive from Milwaukee. For a small city restaurant, this is better than established, higher end restaurants in Mwaukee. I do not know the name of the chef here, but that person deserves more money and benefits. This is a restaurant whose food is worth eating.

According to my 6 year old son, the pancakes are “insanely good”. Great service and great food.

Always awesome omelets and good waitresses. Coffee is hot and they don't let your cup get cold.

Had Breakfast. Biscuits and gravy was awesome. One of the best I've ever had. Very fluffy. Sausage links were very good. Hash browns not so great. Apple scones were the best. Service was excellent.

Nice little mom and pop breakfast restaurant. Great omelets, cheap prices, but a long wait. Pros:- Very cheap. We spent $17 for two plates with sides and drinks.- Fantastic omelets.- Decent selection (eggs, sausage, pancakes, pie...)Cons:- It took 30 minutes to get our food- The coffee was really weak - Fries and hashbrowns could have been a little more crispyOverall, it's great if you want a cheap bite to eat and are willing to wait. Don't go if you're on a tight schedule.Great food for the price, but there are better places if you're willing to pay for it.
